Great point and shoot cameras are very hard to come across. The counts of megapixels do not automatically make the image quality better although these cameras usually boost very high counts of them. These cameras often have major drawbacks instead. Not focusing on the correct subject of the picture is a common issue. They also are very poor in lower light situations. Most of all the features included are usually very limited and are standard across the spectrum.
More features and abilities than any other company are given by Sony which is one of the only ones that does this for point and shoots. Their cyber shot line of cameras has become known as one of the best. Above any other they have made before is the recent cyber shot camera they released. The DSC HX5V is the model number it goes by and it is capable of 10 megapixel shots. Mega pixels are not the only way to measure a camera though, since this may seem like a low number for such a high end camera.
Low light situations was the reason this sensor in the camera was installed. No other point and shoot can match the low light photos it takes when this feature is paired with the high end flash. It is also packed with incredible features. Taken with ease are the panoramic photos that this camera has a feature for. The camera will piece the photo together when put in this mode and the picture is taken by scanning the horizon. The end result is an incredible panorama that will impress all of your friends.
Many basic features that point and shoots have are improved upon by this camera. Red eye reduction is a feature claimed by many cameras, but this one actually delivers it. It has no problem with detecting a smile. Most of all, the pictures it takes are breathtaking. The camera fits easily in a pocket and has to be used to believe all of this comes from such a small camera.
