Written by Many great film releases have occurred throughout the many years of movies being made. The idea of being remembered for decades is very rarely the aspiration that a film has when the makers are deciding on objectives for it. There are plenty of films that do become memorable for many decades, but predicting this success is somewhere near impossible. In this group of memorable films sits Star Wars. The kind of success that this film enjoyed was unpredictable even though many of the people involved thought it would be great.
George Lucas creates a futuristic society in his mind which becomes the story of Star Wars. The middle of the story is where the first film actually starts off. The galaxy has been taken over by an evil empire when this fourth episode begins the tale. A group lead by a few good rebels begins a rebellion against this reign. The final fall of the empire is where the rebellion leads to from this beginning. This is only the first half of the story however. Lucas told the first half of the story with another set of three episodes many years after the initial three movies began his broad story. The evil empire was eventually led by a young man that learned the ways of the Jedi within the first three episodes. The Jedi were a group of good men who brought peace and justice to the galaxy. The young man we see eventually chose to become evil and follow his own path, even though he was one of the most talented jedi ever. These films have garnered a following that no one could have dreamed of. There are holidays surrounding the movie and no group of fans comes up with costumes that are more elaborate. Now they can all enjoy these films at home on high definition. One complete pack of blu-ray discs now include every single film in this saga.
